Basically, there are two types and approaches with your small home. I'm guessing you either have a quaint, 1400 square foot ballerina, circa 1920;
or an haughtily modern European- or Japanese-influenced urbanite, circa 2000.
Or maybe you live in a loft or apartment or townhouse. No matter, we're just trying to find creative ways to live in (and with) less.

Um, try 800 square feet built in 1940. Yes, there's a basement, about the same sq ft as the main floor. But it had a poorly organized remodel resulting in really crappy use of space.
